Superbly fashionable though he may be, De Fleur could in fact be considered a rather unremarkable mouse. Born to a middle-class family in the heartlands of Arrièrcourt, he was raised to follow in his fathers footsteps as a tailor of fine attire for the local gentlemice. Tarquin was by all accounts an accomplished tailor, making some of the finest suits in the land – and particularly highly regarded for his skills with waistcoats. He married a fairly well-to-do cheesemonger’s daughter, and had a small family of several dozen children with her before he passed away.
Were it not for the fact that his last will & testament contained the location of a significant fortune hidden in numerous places all over Arrièrcourt, and instructions for it used to pay for his immediate revivification, he could be considered an entirely unremarkable mouse indeed.
